Anatomy Before Injection Pattern

Injection patterns are useful teaching aids, but they are not substitutes for anatomical reasoning. A point only makes sense in relation to the tissue, function, risk, and treatment objective underneath it.

Patterns are context-dependent

Two patients can share the same aesthetic concern while differing in muscle strength, skeletal support, soft-tissue distribution, asymmetry, prior treatment, and risk profile.

Teach relationships, not dots

Education should connect surface landmarks with deeper anatomy, functional movement, tissue planes, vascular or neurologic considerations, and product behavior.

Clinical restraint is part of anatomy education

Knowing where treatment can be performed is different from knowing when it should be performed. Candidacy and risk-benefit judgment belong in the same module.
